New Sociables women’s organization Jan. 9 meeting

New Sociables Women’s Organization will meet on Monday, Jan. 9 at 9:15 a.m. at Spirit of Life Presbyterian Church, 14401 Pilot Knob Road, Apple Valley. The church is located ½ mile north of County Road 42. The speaker for the January meeting will be Honor Schauland of the Organic Consumers Association. Honor’s topic is “Organic vs. Natural Foods: The Organic Revolution Needs You.” She will discuss the labeling of “natural” and organic foods.
New Sociables Women’s Organization is a nonprofit, non-denominational social club for women living south of the Minnesota River. Especially welcome are women new to the area, interested in making new friends, or who have lived here many years and are newly retired, lost their spouse, or had a change in another status. Guests and new members are welcome anytime.
New Sociables sponsors many monthly activities including book club, party bridge, duplicate bridge, 500 card game, crafts, tours, share-a-recipe, movies, Mah Jongg, biking, golf, Bunco and others.
