‘Christmas Carol’ wins SpotLight Awards

Eagan High School’s production of “Christmas Carol” has won 15 Hennepin Theatre Trust SpotLight Awards. They include:

• Outstanding overall performance, honorable mention for overall production, honorable mention performance by student orchestra.

• Leading role – Outstanding: Evan Esslinger. Honorable mention: Benjamin Schreiner.

• Supporting role – Outstanding: David Newhall, Benjamin Heying, Nicole Moran. Honorable mention: Justin Wirsbinski, Maddie Sachs, Aly Johnson, Alissa Anker, Madeline Gore.

• Featured role – Honorable mention: Connor Swanson, Connor Hedeman.

Individual award winners will be invited to perform at the SpotLight Showcase on June 11.
