Klobuchar to visit Apple Valley on Wednesday
U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar will be in Apple Valley tomorrow to tour a manufacturing company and visit an elementary school.
Klobuchar plans to tour Uponor, a manufacturer of HVAC, fire safety and plumbing systems. The visit includes a meeting with Apple Valley City Council and Chamber of Commerce members, as well as a private meeting with Uponor leaders.
Klobuchar also plans to visit Cedar Park Elementary STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) School to meet with students and staff, followed by a meeting with Cedar Park Principal John Garcia, District 196 Superintendent Jane Berenz and Apple Valley Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland to discuss STEM in the school district.
The Apple Valley visit is part of Klobuchar’s continuing “Made in America” economic tour, which is designed to showcase successful Minnesota businesses and job creation opportunities, according to a press release from the senator’s office.
