Eagan awarded top seed in Section 3AA

The Eagan girls hockey team earned the No. 1 seed in Section 3AA. The Wildcats will host the winner between No. 8 East Ridge and No. 9 Woodbury at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Eagan Civic Arena.

Last year’s section champion Rosemount earned the No. 6 seed. The girls willt travel to No. 3 seed Apple Valley for a game at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

No. 7 Burnsville will bus to No. 2 Park of Cottage Grove at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and No. 5 Eastview will travel to No. 4 Hastings for a 7 p.m. puck drop.

The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday evening at Veterans Memorial Civic Center in Inver Grove Heights. With a win, Eagan will play the winner between Hastings and Eastview at 5 p.m. The winner between Apple Valley/Rosemount will play the winner between Park/Burnsville at 7 p.m.

The Section 3AA finals are scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at the VMCC.
