Lakeville schools get top two seeds in section

Farmington given the No. 5 seed

The Lakeville North girls hockey team earned the No. 1 seed in the Section 1AA playoffs beginning on Wednesday. Defending section champion from 2011 Lakeville South earned the No. 2 seed.

Lakeville North will host the winner between Rochester John Marshall and Rochester Century at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Ames Arena. Lakeville South will welcome No. 7 seed Owatonna for a 7 p.m. game at Hasse Arena.

No. 5 Farmington will travel to No. 4 Kasson-Mantorville for a 7:30 p.m. game on Wednesday.

Semifinal games are scheduled for Saturday at the high seed, with a win Lakeville North will play the winner between Kasson-Mantorville and Farmington, who ended North’s season last year. South would play the winner between Rochester Mayo and Winona at 7 p.m. on Saturday at home.

The Section 1AA finals are scheduled for Feb. 16 in Owatonna.
