Eastview wins, Lakeville North loses in girls tournament

The Eastview girls basketball team won its first-round game of the Class 4A state tournament just after the Lakeville North team went down to defeat.

Eastview won 55-41 over St. Michael-Albertville. Madison Guebert and Paige Palkovich both scored 15 for the Lightning, while Amber Mehr had 10 points and 12 rebounds. The Lightning had a 26-14 halftime lead.

Lakeville didn’t fare as well as Eastview. The team was defeated 51-29. Taylor Stewart was the only player to score in double figures for Lakeville. She had 11.

Eastview will play Hopkins tomorrow at 6 p.m.
