Minnesota Valley YMCA community events planned
The YMCA in Burnsville has planned the following events:
• The second annual FIT JAM will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 23, at the Minnesota Valley YMCA. Youth activities will be featured the first hour including a jumper, face painting, and youth fitness activities.
From 7 to 10 p.m. a 2-1/2 hour rotation of popular group exercise classes will be available to adults. Other opportunities for youth will be available during the fitness class rotation. A silent auction will be held throughout the night.
The event will raise funds for families and kids to participate in YMCA activities. The event is open to the public. Cost is $2 for children and $5 for adults, with a maximum of $15 per family.
• From noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15, the first Minnesota Valley YMCA Bowlathon will be held at Brunswick Bowl in Lakeville. A team entry fee of $75 for five bowlers is required and each team is asked to raise an additional $85 or more in support per bowler.
