Free community egg hunt in Burnsville
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and School will hold its annual Easter Eggstravaganza event on Saturday, March 31, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church campus located at 151 East County Rd. 42 in Burnsville. The public is invited.
The “Eggs-citing” event is open to all area families and features free activities for children age 10 and younger. Families can come and together enjoy the events. Egg Hunts will be conducted outside (indoors if rain or snow) by age groups beginning at 10:30 am for children under 3 years old, 11:30 am for ages 4 to 6 and 12:30 pm for ages 7 to 10. A short play, “Easter Treasures,” will be performed at 11 a.m. and noon. Continuous activities include a bounce house, face art, hot dog lunch, crafts and child/family photo with Bunny, all at no charge. The event is in an “open house” format, so guests can arrive and leave at any time throughout the event, but are encouraged to be at the Egg Hunt Starting Line about 5-10 minutes before each age-designated hunt to make sure to not miss out. Children are welcome to bring Easter baskets to collect their eggs, but plastic bags will also be provided.
