Harriet Bishop student qualifies for national science conference

Sofia Feller, a sixth-grader at Harriet Bishop Gifted & Talented Elementary School in Savage, is one of 10 middle school finalists in the nation to receive an all-expense paid trip to a major international science conference in Houston, Texas, this spring. More than 70 countries will be represented at the 2012 International Sustainable World Engineering, Energy & Environment Project Olympiad.

Feller’s nine awards at the 2012 South Central/Southwest Minnesota Regional Science and Engineering Fair in Mankato enabled her to advance to the state level and qualified her for the national science competition.
