Filing begins for two Eagan council seats
Eagan residents interested in running for City Council can file between May 22 and June 5 at the Eagan Municipal Center.
The four-year terms of council members Cyndee Fields and Meg Tilley are set to expire at the end of this year.
To file for City Council, a candidate must be eligible to vote in Minnesota, be at least 21 years of age upon assuming office and maintain a residence for at least 30 days prior to the election, among other requirements.
Candidates must also complete a filing form provided at the city clerk’s office and pay a $5 filing fee.
The deadline to withdraw is 5 p.m. June. 7.
The municipal center is located at 3830 Pilot Knob Road in Eagan.
