Book sale helps promote literacy

To the editor:

The Friends of Robert Trail Library held their second annual book sale in mid-April, and it was another huge success. On behalf of the Friends, I would like to thank all of the many volunteers who helped with collecting donations, setting up and cleaning up after the sale, and, of course, working the sale itself. The contribution of their time and hard work is very much appreciated. The proceeds from the book sales are dedicated to supporting literacy and promoting the services of the Robert Trail Library.

In addition, we want to thank those who allowed us to place donation boxes or post bulletin board notices that advertised our sale. They include Fireside Restaurant, Suzie’s Kitchen, Caribou Coffee, Starbucks Coffee, Rosemount schools, St. Joseph School, and Dakota County Library branches in Apple Valley, Farmington, Hastings, Inver Grove, Lakeville and Burnsville.

A special thank you goes out to Jamie Jurgensen and her wonderful staff at Robert Trail Library. We are grateful for the wonderful partnership we have with them.

Jo Gilbertson
President, The Friends of Robert Trail Library
