Update: 15-year-old girl missing after visiting her father in Lakeville is found

Update (5:34 p.m., June 14): Melanie Meri Davy, 15, of Lakeville, was found safe today at about 7:30 a.m. in Lake Elmo after someone identified her and her father, Shon Allen Davy, 38, in a restaurant, according to media reports.

Davy was declared missing yesterday after her father failed to bring her home after a visitation. Shon Davy is currently in Dakota County jail and has two prior sex crime convictions on his record.

Authorities delivered Melanie to her mother.

A 15-year-old girl missing after her father failed to bring her home after a visitation, according to media reports.

Melanie Meri Davy and her father, Shon Allen Davy, 38, were last seen Monday. According to law enforcement, WCCO reports, Shon Davy has a criminal history, and there is concern about the welfare of the teen.

Police said Shon Davy has medical issues and has been under the aid of a personal care attendant. He has no known vehicle and is known to ride public transportation.

Melanie Davy has been described as 5-foot, 3-inches and 110 pounds with long, dark blonde hair and freckles. She was believed to be wearing a white Cookie Monster shirt, blue jeans and flip flops.

Shon Davy is described as 5-foot, 2-inches and 109 pounds with blonde hair, red facial hair and a missing right eye.
