A 21-year-old man from Rosemount remains in critical condition following a one-car crash on North Shore Trail N. in Forest Lake early Saturday morning.
Forest Lake Police Capt. Greg Weiss said on Monday that Joshua Stephen Berg was driving west in the 7800 block of North Shore Trail at 5:35 a.m. when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road and crashed into a tree. Berg was alone in the vehicle and was not using a seat belt, Weiss said.
Weiss said Berg had been in Forest Lake visiting friends.
Weiss said after Berg drove on the right shoulder of the road, he overcorrected, crossed North Shore Trail and ran off the road.
North Air Care transported Berg to Regions Hospital, St. Paul, where he was in critical condition with head trauma, Weiss said.
Weiss said Berg previously lived in Ham Lake, but was now living in Rosemount with his mother.
