Apple Valley Freedom Days activities to carry on despite the heat

Apple Valley Freedom Days‘s July 4 activities are planned to take place as scheduled, according to the city’s website, despite extreme heat expected tomorrow.

Events planned include the Fun Run, parade, pre-fireworks activities, and fireworks. 

A heat advisory has been issued.  All participants are encouraged to bring water and take appropriate safety precautions. For up to date information, check the city’s website.

Parade will be from 1-3 p.m. at Pennock Avenue and County Road 42.

Fireworks will be at 10 p.m. at Johnny Cake Ridge Park, 5800 140th St. W.
