Eagan grandmother investigated after death of infant

Police are investigating the death of a 10-week-old infant in Eagan after the child’s grandmother allegedly rolled on top of him while she was drunk, according to media reports.

Eagan police responded to the home at 3600 Denmark Ave. at 1:16 p.m. July 7 and found the boy unconscious.

The child was transported by ambulance to Children’s Hospital in St. Paul where he died.

The 46-year-old grandmother’s blood alcohol level was 0.18, according to reports. She wasn’t arrested.

The case has been sent to the Dakota County attorney for possible charges
