Update: Two ejected from car near I-35 and County Road 46
A rollover crash near I-35 and County Road 46 at the Lakeville-Burnsville border at about 2:30 p.m. resulted in two people ejected from a 1992 Toyota Camry and the death of a passenger, a 17-year-old Northfield girl.
The car was driving southbound on Buck Hill Road, parallel to I-35, when it lost control and rolled onto I-35, according to the State Patrol.
According to the State Patrol’s media information system, a 17-year-old Lakeville man was driving the car.. The vehicle had five occupants total. Three incurred minor injuries and were transported to HCMC. Another sustained serious injuries.
The one southbound lane of I-35 was closed as of Tuesday afternoon. Traffic was reportedly backed up on both I-35W and I-35E well north of Burnsville.
