Update: Two teens killed in rollover were from Burnsville, Northfield

Two teens were killed Tuesday when a car carrying five people lost control and rolled down an embankment onto Interstate 35, according to the State Patrol.

Frederick J. Alexander, 16, of Burnsville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the one-vehicle crash, which occurred at about 2:30 p.m. Alesha K. Roehl, 17, of Northfield, died at 7:42 p.m. at Hennepin County Medical Center.

The 1992 Toyota Camry they were riding in was southbound on Buck Hill Road near 158th Street when it lost control, rolled down the embankment and landed in the southbound freeway lanes, the State Patrol said.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. The other two passengers suffered minor injuries and were treated at HCMC.
