Book launch event for ‘The Last Lightning’ is Oct. 13

The book launch party for Craig MacIntosh’s “The Last Lightning” will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Apple Valley American Legion, 14521 Granada Drive. The public is invited.

In MacIntosh’s story, it is learned a plane that went down in Paupa New Guinea during World War II was carrying cargo worth millions. A woman who had befriended the granddaughter of the pilot pretends to be her in order to gain access to the wreckage. Her plan is to remove the cargo from the plane without anyone’s knowledge, but can she pull it off … and is it even still there?

Author Craig MacIntosh lives in Rosemount. In addition to being an author, he is the artist for the cartoon strip, “Sally Forth,” which now appears in over 600 newspapers.
