Two opportunities for civic engagement tonight in Lakeville

Tonight provides Lakeville residents with two competing or overlapping opportunities to get involved with their local governmental entities.

The Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an ISD 194 school board candidate forum at City Hall from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. in the Council chambers. Elections are Nov. 6.

Meanwhile, over at the Water Treatment Facility’s conference room, from 5 to 8 p.m. the City of Lakeville’s Finance Department will hold an open house and informational meeting on the 2013-2014  budget and preliminary tax levy. The City Council will approve the final levy and budget this December.
