Bellows, Little, Rieb to face off at Lakeville mayoral candidate forum tonight

Incumbent Mayor Mark Bellows will face off tonight against his two challengers, council members Matt Little and Laurie Rieb, at City Hall.

The 6:45 p.m. candidate forum is sponsored by the Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce and will be televised and recorded for those who can’t attend in person. The event is estimated to conclude by 8:30 p.m.

The candidates were provided 10 of the questions ahead of time with three surprise questions to be asked as well.

I was at the debate last evening and witnessed a clear winner…Matt Little. Mr. Little was able to offer direct answers to the questions asked while providing great detail within the time constraints. He also was the only candidate that stayed away from mudslinging tactics. It seemed that all evening the incumbent Mayor was on the defensive and faltered at times while trying to put together points. It was also clear by being in attendance that support for Matt Little as Lakeville’s next Mayor is tremendous. I was happy to see that almost 80% of the individuals in the room displayed support for Matt Little as Mayor of Lakeville. I should conclude this post by saying it is very uplifting to see such a great turnout.

So, the union-backed Matt Little packed the room with teachers? Matt Little has nothing to offer the people of Lakeville. This run for mayor is an attempt at a stepping stone to higher office so he can repay the favors he owes to union bosses. He is on a scholarship to college paid for by Big Union Bosses. Matt Little cares LITTLE about Lakeville, and is looking to be a Washington DC power broker.
