Farmington community education students, under the direction of The Play’s The Thing Productions, will perform “The Hobbit” at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, and 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Boeckman Middle School auditorium, 800 Denmark Ave., Farmington. Chameleon Theatre Circle will present David Mamet’s “Speed-The-Plow” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12, 13, 15, 18, 19, and 20, and at 2 p.m. Oct. 14 and 21, at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center’s Black Box Theatre.
