Marching bands place first, third in South Dakota competition

The Rosemount High School marching band captured first place and was named field grand champion at the Festival of Bands field competition Oct. 6 in Sioux Falls, S.D. The band’s color guard and horn line also won honors.

The Eastview High School marching band placed third in the event.

The bands will next compete at the Youth in Music Marching Band Championships on Oct. 13 at the Metrodome.
