The Burnsville Chamber of Commerce and U.S. Rep. John Kline have moved their offices as part of a tenant exodus from the Parkway Place building on Burnsville Parkway.
The chamber and Kline’s 2nd District office didn’t go far. Both are now in the Gateway Office Plaza building at 350 W. Burnsville Parkway.
The chamber is in Suite 425. Kline is in Suite 135.
Owner Pinehurst Properties is selling Parkway Place to a developer and has asked tenants to be out by the end of October.
Pinehurst has yet to reveal the would-be buyer or the future use of the property, located west of Nicollet Avenue at 101 W. Burnsville Parkway.
The building is “under contract to a developer, and the contract is proceeding as planned for expected closing before the end of the year,” according to Pinehurst.
Burnsville Economic Development Coordinator Skip Nienhaus said Pinehurst provided the update to the city in a statement last week.
It said Pinehurst is confident the sale will close, or “we would not have vacated the rent-paying tenants,” according to Nienhaus.
Pinehurst President Tom Lohmann couldn’t be reached for comment Friday.
