Four of the nation’s fastest growing companies call Eagan and Burnsville home.
Prime Therapeutics, Avionte and Intertech in Eagan, and Burnsville-based Innovative Office Solutions were named last week among the nation’s 5,000 fastest growing companies by Inc. Magazine.
Avionte experienced the greatest amount of growth at 294 percent in the past three years. The company – located at 1270 Eagan Industrial Road – saw its revenue increase from $1.1 million in 2008 to $4.2 million in 2011.
Avionte was founded in 2006 and develops and licenses staffing software and Web-based portal services that facilitate communication among recruiters, staffing agencies, employers and job candidates.
It currently has 65 employees, which is 45 more than in 2008.
Innovative Office Solutions in Burnsville also experienced significant growth at 163 percent over the past three years. The office supply company, which was founded in 2001, saw its revenue jump to $42.7 million in 2011 from $16.2 million in 2008.
Innovative Office Solutions has added 35 jobs in the past three years, which brings its total number of employees to 77.
The company – located at 151 Cliff Road E. in Burnsville – provides office and facility supplies, furniture, and print and document management services to businesses and schools.
Prime Therapeutics has been steadily growing for decades and over the past three years has grown by 56 percent.
The pharmacy benefits manager has seen its revenue increase from $1.2 billion in 2008 to $1.8 billion in 2011.
The company, which was founded in 1998, has added 533 employees over the past three years. To date, Prime Therapeutics has 2,154 employees and plans to add another 300 as part of a $5 million expansion in Eagan.
The company – located at 1305 Corporate Center Drive in Eagan – offers services to insurance providers and enrolled members, and develops cost-management tools and provides prescription drug benefits through a national network of retail pharmacies. Its clients include Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
Intertech experienced slightly slower growth than the other three businesses, yet its growth was 48 percent. Over the past three years, the software developer’s revenue has increased from $6.9 million in 2008 to $10.2 million in 2011. The company, which was founded in 1991, added 25 jobs since 2011 and currently has 60 employees.
Intertech – located at 1575 Thomas Center Drive in Eagan – designs and develops software for large and mid-sized companies and state government. It also provides advanced training and consulting services. Its clients include NASA and Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft and Wells Fargo.
