Burnsville volunteers honored

Burnsville residents Gary and Connie Johnson received the Volunteer Couple of the Year Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Minnesota at the organization’s annual conference in St. Paul on Nov. 3. The award recognizes a couple who have demonstrated their commitment and leadership to NAMI’s mission. NAMI Minnesota is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives of children and adults with mental illnesses and their families through its programs of education, support and advocacy. – Photo submitted
