Dakota County receives award

A program developed by a six-county collaborative of Adult Protective Services staff from Dakota, Hennepin, Olmsted, Ramsey, Steele and Washington counties was recognized with a 2012 Outstanding Service Award by the Association of Minnesota Counties for exhibiting excellence and innovation. The award was presented at the association’s annual conference Dec. 3 in St. Cloud.

The collaborative worked with the National Council on Crime and Delinquency to develop and implement an intake, safety, and strength and needs assessment that met the needs of the APS workers in Minnesota.
