Community service on MLK Day at Ebenezer Ridges

Ebenezer Ridges staff, residents, and community members were invited to make clay bowls on Martin Luther King Day at the Care Center on January 21. The bowls will be used in a March fundraiser to combat hunger.  The project supports the Empty Bowls program. The bowls will be used for a Lenten Soup Lunch on Wednesday, March 13 at noon. Guests are invited to a simple meal of soup and bread in exchange for a free-will cash donation. Guests are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. Northern Clay Center of Minneapolis is providing artists and supplies to help create the bowls. Photo by Rick Orndorfebz bowls 7
