Citizens Climate Lobby to meet Feb. 2 at Galaxie Library

Dr. Martin Tresguerres of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography will speak Saturday, Feb. 2, by national conference call at the Citizens Climate Lobby meeting at Galaxie Library, 14955 Galaxie Ave., Apple Valley, on the topic of “Ocean Acidification – Can Corals Cope?”

Tresguerres is currently working with a four-year grant from the National Science Foundation to study the effect of ocean acidification on coral. He’ll share some preliminary findings from that study.

Action planning and discussion will start at 11 a.m. Tresguerres will speak at noon.
