Dakota Dental helps to Give Kids a Smile

Dakota Dental’s Apple Valley dentists, Dr. Shelley Wakefield and Dr. Bennett Isabella, along with their staff, will provide free dental care to children Feb. 1, as part of Give Kids a Smile Day. The program provides no-cost dental care for children in low-income homes.

Services at Dakota Dental will include preventative oral health care, fluoride treatments, cleanings and sealants, and restorative services such as fillings.

In addition to Give Kids a Smile Day, the dental clinic participates in events during the month of February in recognition of Children’s Dental Health Month. The dentists speak to school, parenting and church groups and other organizations within the community to advocate for proper oral health care and wellness.

Individuals interested in receiving free dental services through the Give Kids A Smile program should be 18 years or younger and need to have a parent or legal guardian accompany them. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling (952) 431-5774. Scheduling a presentation for a classroom or youth group may also be arranged by calling this number.
