Cops, firefighters take care of their own
Wing-eating competition is Wednesday, Jan. 30
Burnsville’s Police Department and Fire Department will face off in a wing-eating competition Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 5 p.m. at Hurricane Grill & Wings,12950 Aldrich Ave. S.
The event is a fundraiser for Assistant Fire Chief Dan Hove, who is battling pancreatic cancer, and police officer Steve Adrian, who is considering retirement to care for his wife, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 10 years ago.
Hurricane Grill & Wings will make a donation to the families, and a portion of all proceeds from the evening will be given to assist with their medical bills. Mayor Elizabeth Kautz and members of City Council will attend to show their support.
