Eagan woman killed in Highway 13 crash
An Eagan woman was killed in a car crash today during morning rush hour on Highway 13.
Taya N. Cliffords, 24, was killed when her 2007 Mazda car collided with a 1999 Dodge Caravan on Highway 13 near I-494 in Eagan.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Cliffords was traveling north on Highway 13 at about 8 a.m. when she lost control on the icy road and ended up facing sideways in the southbound lanes.
The Caravan struck Clifford’s car on its driver’s side, totaling both vehicles. The State Patrol was unable to determine the model of Clifford’s vehicle due to extensive damage.
The 53-year-old driver of the van was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with minor injuries.
