One Rosemount meets food-packing goal

DSC_0044More than 1,400 people packed 285,120 meals Saturday, March 2, during the One Rosemount Feeding Families event, which will feed Haitian refuges living in the Dominican Republic. Teams of 10 people packed the meals, which were provided by St. Louis Park-based Impact Lives, at Rosemount Middle School and Rosemount Elementary School from sunrise to sunset with an aim to bring a new dawn to others in need. Another 3,000 pounds of food was collected for the 360 Communities Food Shelf. There is still more work to do. One Rosemount is raising money to help send the meals. An estimated $28,500 has been raised toward a goal of $71,000. To donate, go to www.OneRosemountFeedingFamilies.com. Photos by Tad Johnson
