District 196 girls explore science

Glacier Hills Elementary first-grader Ahana Biswas and second-grader Mihika Survase test their handmade catapults on March 2 during the Eagan school’s Girls and Engineering Event. The event was held at the arts and science magnet school to promote science and engineering careers to young girls. Students were able to participate in several actives and meet women who work in science-related fields.
