Holds food drive, gives legislative update
Rep. Pat Garofalo will host a town hall meeting on at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Hampton City Hall Community Room.
Constituents are invited to share opinions on different laws proposed in the Legislature, and Garofalo will present an update on budget, taxes and spending proposals moving forward.
Attendees are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items for the Farmington Food Shelf, operated by 360 Communities. Baskets will be set up for Republicans, Democrats and Independents. At every Garofalo town hall meeting, Republicans have always donated more food than the other parties, he said to constituents in an email invitation.
A Telsa Model S, an electric car, will also be on display for viewing. “I know some people are interested in electric cars because of the marketed environmental benefits,” Garofalo said in the email. “However, I think the thing that would interest most people are the impressive performance features of this vehicle. This is a $90,000+ vehicle, and honestly, it’s a really cool car.”
Hampton City Hall is located at 5265 238th St. E.
