LNHS student wins congressional art competition

A drawing by Breanna Babcock, a 10th grade student at Lakeville North High School, has been selected to be a part of this year’s Congressional Art Exhibit, “An Artistic Discovery,” sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives.

Babcock submitted a realistic black and white graphite drawing of a tiger for the competition. She will be awarded her honors this summer in Washington, D.C., by U.S. Rep. John Kline. Her art will be part of a display of art from all congressional districts in the United States and will be open for viewing at the U.S. Capitol.
