Letters of interest for organics diversion projects in Dakota County are due at 5 p.m. Friday, May 17. A letter of interest is a one- to two-page statement that elaborates on an idea to divert organics from a business, community or institution in Dakota County.
While funding is not currently available, ideas will be used to help determine the direction of the county’s organics program and possible funding priorities in the future. Entities that do not respond by May 17 may not have their projects considered during the program development and funding phase or might lose eligibility to apply for funding if and when it becomes available.
Full details on the letter format and example projects can be found in the Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) on Dakota County’s website (www.co.dakota.mn.us).
