Police are investigating approximately 10 burglaries in the southeast area of
Burnsville between May 21 and June 26.
The suspect or suspects typically go to a residence and knock and/or ring the doorbell. If there is no response the suspect or suspects then force entry into the home. Most of the burglaries have occurred during daytime hours.
A 1990s Chevrolet Blazer is a possible suspect vehicle in the incidents. It’s red with three strips of duct tape on the back of the vehicle and an unknown license plate.
Residents’ personal safety is the Burnsville Police Department’s primary concern, the department said in a news release.
If someone unexpectedly knocks on your door and they don’t have a legitimate reason to be there, call 911 to report the incident, police urge.
