Bomb threats received at Walgreen’s stores in Apple Valley, Rosemount

Two bomb threats allegedly targeted two Walgreen’s stores in Apple Valley and Rosemount on Wednesday, according to information received from local police.

At 11:28 a.m. and 11:55 a.m., police in Apple Valley and Rosemount responded to bomb threats at Walgreen’s Drug Stores at 14020 Pilot Knob Road and 15034 Shannon Parkway, respectively.

As a precautionary measure, both Walgreen’s stores were evacuated and the immediate area secured.

The Apple Valley Police Department was assisted by the Apple Valley Fire Department and a K-9 Unit from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Police Department during the incident.

The Rosemount Police Department was assisted by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Health East Ambulance, Rosemount Fire Department and a K-9 Unit from the Airport Police Department during the incident.

No explosive devices were found in both cases.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
