Marvin M. Moe, age 80, of Lakeville, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2013 at the Northfield Retirement Home. Marv was born on February 20, 1933 in Pillsbury, ND to Otto and Lucille Moe. As a teenager he moved to Vergas, MN. He served in the United States Air Force. He was the president of Marvs Construction for 26 years. Marv was also a long time member of the Lakeville SnoTrackers snowmobile club as well as the VFW and American Legion.
Marv is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather, grandson, Danny; parents, Otto & Lucille (nee: Thilmony) Moe; brothers, Maynard, Merlyn Bub and Myron (Lynn) Moe and brother-in-law, Earl Scott. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Linda; children, Sherry (Rick) Riggs, David (Hilda), Don (LuAnn) and their mother, Odessa Dubbels; Heidi (Greg) Loffler and Mike (Krysia) Moe; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Arnie) Bennett, Betty (George) Bertram and Jan Scott; sister-in-law, Norma and Jane Moe as well as many family and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Northfield Care Center and St. Croix Hospice for their support and compassionate care. Marv was a strong, honest, hardworking family man with a great sense of humor who will be truly missed by many.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 7, 2013 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 8250 202nd St. W (Co Rd 50) with visitation 1 hr. prior to service at church. Interment, Lakeville Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred. Condolences at:
