RHS marching band is grand champion at Youth in Music

The Rosemount High School Marching Band finished as the top marching band in the 2013 Youth in Music Championships at the Metrodome on Oct. 12.  Rosemount finished first in the Class Championships in the afternoon, and was awarded the grand champion in the evening performance.  This year’s show in entitled “aRose” and features music from Minnesota composer Timothy Mahr’s “Fantasia in G,” Seal’s hit “Kiss from a Rose,” and composer Nathan Lanier’s “Torn.” The marching band directors are Steve Olsen, Leon Sieve, and Bojan Hoover.  Photos by Rick Orndorf
