Thomson Reuters layoffs to include Eagan employees

A round of 3,000 company-wide layoffs announced by New York-based Thomson Reuters in October will affect its Eagan campus, according to Twin Cities Business.

The layoffs account for 5 percent of Thomson Reuter’s workforce and will primarily affect its financial and risk departments.

The company employs 7,000 workers in Eagan, which serves as its headquarters for its legal business.

Thomson Reuters has yet to release the number of Eagan employees to be cut, but has said in recent reports, that job cuts are in management information systems.

When announcing the layoffs, Thomson Reuters said Mike Suchsland, president of its legal division, will be replaced by Susan Taylor Martin.
