Burnsville, Maple Grove banks robbed

The Burnsville Police Department is investigating an April 15 robbery at TCF Bank involving a suspect in another robbery about 90 minutes later at a Maple Grove Wells Fargo bank, according to a release today from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

The Burnsville bank was robbed around 4:11 p.m., the Maple Grove bank at about 5:36 p.m.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s or 50s, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds, 5 o’clock shadow facial hair, wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with red or orange inside the hood, jeans and a blue or black baseball hat with a “Call of Duty Ghosts” logo on the front.

The suspect gave a note to bank employees at the Wells Fargo announcing the robbery. Employees gave the suspect an unknown amount of money and fled on foot.

There is no indication a weapon was used in the Maple Grove robbery.

Details about the Burnsville robbery are not available at this time.
