Apple Valley’s Paideia Academy marked its 10th anniversary earlier this month with a community celebration in the parking lot of the K-8 public charter school.

“We have now graduated six eighth-grade classes, been authorized for a five-year charter — the longest allowed by Minnesota state law — and been designated a High Quality Charter School by the Minnesota Department of Education,” said Marci Levy-Maguire, director of Paideia Academy.

The Aug. 6 event included guest speakers, cake and music from the Paideia Academy School Band.
