State Rep. Anna Wills, R-Rosemount, continues to advocate for smart transportation funding for our district. During the 2015 session, Wills was able to help pass a bipartisan transportation bill into law. She also helped defeat a potential tax increase on fuel while passing a bipartisan bonding/transportation bill that included $700 million in funding for roads and bridges – it’s too bad the Senate democrats killed the bill by adding a controversial light rail project to it. She also authored legislation that would have provided $2 million in funding to make repairs on Highway 52 and County Road 42. Even though that bill was not approved this year, Wills will continue to fight to repair our roads through the better use of existing funds rather than new taxes.
