Suspect sought after bank robbery in Rosemount

Area law enforcement agencies are seeking local residents’ help in identifying the suspect of a Tuesday late afternoon bank robbery in Rosemount.

The lone white male suspect who left Merchants Bank, 15055 Chippendale Ave., with an undisclosed amount of cash at approximately 4:49 p.m. is described as in his mid-30s to 40s, approximately 5-foot-11, weighing about 210 pounds and having light brown hair, a mustache and goatee.

Police released a photograph of the suspect, who presented a demand note to a teller asking for cash but did not brandish a weapon. No injuries were reported.

The suspect fled the scene after obtaining cash. He was wearing a dark colored T-shirt, tan cargo shorts and sunglasses.

The Apple Valley Police Department and the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Rosemount Police Department with the initial response to the scene.
