Apple Valley 22nd Home and Garden Expo was held Saturday at Eastview High School to packed crowds all day. The event had great weather, as opposed to last year’s expo which was the morning after a big blizzard on April 1. Organizers with the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce said more than 4,000 people attended, over 120 vendors had booths to give citizens a chance to see the latest home and garden trends, meet vendors and even get bids. The event included free Culver’s custard ice cream, cookies and pastries from Sam’s Club, an animal balloon artist, a bounce house and grilled food from the Apple Valley Scouts. The event has been produced by Apple Valley Chamber for 22 years. Bobby Jensen of KARE 11 gardening show fame told the seminar crowd that he is so proud to be part of the expo and “that Apple Valley does it right, one of the best in Minnesota.” Apple Valley Chamber President Ed Kearney who has organized all 22 years, thanked the incredible citizens of Apple Valley and the surrounding region for taking the time to attend every year.  He also thanked Eastview High School for hosting.
